Arbor Vitae has designed and planted approximately 2,500 acres of new woodland over the past 30 years and manages a number of woodland estates. We offer a total woodland management package from initial surveying and mapping, through grant and licensing procedures, to delivered management work on the ground.

Forest Inventory and Mensuration

Our experienced, qualified foresters can undertake measuring and mensuration via GPS and GIS mapping to forecast timber production.

Woodland Management Plans

We have extensive experience in drawing up plans to guide both short and longer term management of woodlands whether for timber, biodiversity or amenity.

Grants & Licences

We advise on grants relating to woodland creation and management, and can assist with the application process and administration and the legal and licensing implications for your proposed operations.

Forestry Contracting

New woodland establishment: we have 30+ years planting experience, with specialities in minerals sites and brownfield restoration schemes, ground preparation and soil amelioration. We can provide detailed planting scheme drawings to satisfy planning requirements, a team of experienced tree planters and also supply tree protection as a stockist of Tubex products.

Mapping and Surveying

We use GIS digital mapping and GPS to capture woodland areas, individual trees and features, and produce maps of your resource, veteran and dangerous trees, current/felling/restock areas, tracks, paths and gates etc, delivered in various medias.
