Bracken management feasibility study to support acid grassland restoration in the Clee Hills, Shropshire.
Arbor Vitae were commissioned to carry out a Bracken Management Feasibility Study which largely included: baseline mapping using Geographic Information Systems and targeted vegetation surveys of approximately 540 acres, reptile surveys and extensive desk-top studies.
The work resulted in the production of an in-depth report detailing a range of appropriate management methods and their efficacy in relation to bracken. A full team were required for this project to include botanical surveyor, GIS & mapping specialist and ecological surveyors.
